The Emma Bridgewater Queen & Countrywoman Mug is part of the Queen Elizabeth II collection, commemorating our longest serving Monarchs life.
The Queen enjoyed walking the Balmoral Estate with her Corgis, and that’s precisely the scene this mug depicts with a beautiful handpainted image. The Queen loved Corgis owning more than 30 during her 70-year reign.
Susan, the Queen’s first Corgi, was given to Queen Elizabeth II for her 18th birthday in 1944. All the Queens Corgis descended from Susan.
Whenever possible, the Queen would feed the Corgis herself. At one point, she owned 13. The Corgis Muick and Sandy were at the Queen’s bedside when she passed away at Balmoral Castle on the 8th of September 1922.
The mug has a 300ml capacity and is made from English Earthenware, and is safe to use in the Dishwasher
