To celebrate 150 years of Alice In Wonderland Whittard Of Chelsea have released a range of mugs including a Mad Hatter Mug.
The first thing you’ll notice is the unusual but relevant key-shaped handle, which at first appearances looks a bit awkward but when in hand is very functional.
The mug has a hand-painted picture of The Mad Hatter (on both sides) wearing a large hat labelled ‘in this style 1016’ with a large red bow tie, eating a sandwich and drinking a cup of tea.
In case your wondering where the term ‘mad as a hatter’ comes from, in the olden day’s hatters used to use mercury in the hat-making process which used to cause brain damage turning them ‘mad.’
The mug has a 300ml capacity also available in the range is a Rabbit mug, an Alice mug and an alternative Mad Hatter Mug.
